Feed Ann Coulter to the *educated* masses
Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, I should say I'd consider myself a slightly right-leaning moderate (i.e. I try to actually think about issues before venturing opinions).
Ann Coulter has been getting a little exposure of late - particularly about her aborted attempt to speak at the University of Ottawa. Were I the U of O provost, I would have welcomed her with open arms - and fed her to the slightly left of centre university students here (jailing her at the first opportunity wouldn't be nearly as productive). It's pretty clear she doesn't have the brains to understand what had happened, but it sure would have been entertaining!
Excerpt from Ann's web site: "In 2001, Coulter was named one of the top 100 Public Intellectuals by federal judge Richard Posner in 2001." After I swallowed the bile, it appears she thinks that "intellectual" doesn't require "possession of any knowledge of the English language". That page is filled with information about what TV shows she's been on, how many articles have been written about her, ad nauseam , but at the bottom is the section "REPORTERS WHO ARE ALLOWED TO INTERVIEW ANN AGAIN". Hey Posner, want to review the definition of "intellectual"?
